Beware of fake warnings!
Have you ever received an error box pop-up warning, telling you your hard-disk drives are failing? Chances are you have fallen victim to the one or more of the “Fake Diagnostic Software Scams” running rampant on the web.
We’ve had several clients who have fallen victim to one or more of these attacks. The malicious software (Malware) can infect your PC while visiting your favorite websites or any un-protected site on the internet. Don’t worry. It’s not something that you’ve done wrong. This malware comes from infected servers hosting commonly used websites you visit.

Are you protected on the web?
The first time we visited the discussion of free antivirus solutions I failed to discuss the operating system and its impact. In my internal trials the 32 bit version of Windows 7 was the base operating system, although all previously tested applications are available in XP or Vista. Operating system aside the focus is still on "what do free antivirus" applications offer in security. It's free for a reason...
Start by opening up your favorite browser, in my case Mozilla's Firefox. Next, open up a window to the Google and perform a search for free antivirus. Then, look through the almost endless list of software providers and count how many company names you recognize. Names that will almost certainly stick out like Norton, AVG, and PCTools show up on the first page of results.
